SalamAir 6th Anniversary Celebration

ANNIVERSARY SALAMAIR

SalamAir, Sultanate’s fast-growing, value-for-money airline, celebrated its 6th year anniversary with an array of activities. Special social media activation, Celebration onboard, and SalamAir management team meet and greet at the Muscat Airport.

Commenting on the 6th Anniversary Celebrations, Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, said: “My self and the SalamAir Team is incredibly proud to be celebrating another year of successful operation. We are pleased because we have achieved many milestones, survived, and overcome many adversities with grace and success. Starting very small, it’s safe to say we have become a benchmark in the industry, and we couldn’t have achieved it without the support of our customers and the die-hard supporters of our vision.
SalamAir family needs a special mention as we celebrate our anniversary, as their resilience and can-do attitude contributed to us celebrating yet another year”.

He continued, “I take this joyous occasion to thank our Board of Directors and Chairman for their constant dedication and our partners from across our network and beyond for their efforts & support. I would also like to stress that we at SalamAir will continue to stay true to our commitments, archive more milestones, and keep expanding our operations in keeping with Oman Vision 2040; while keeping safety, reliability, and value for money service as our utmost priority”.

SalamAir continues to be a major operator of domestic destinations in the sultanate; SalamAir has continued to expand its network over the last year by expanding into two more local airports, Masirah & Duqm, while opening once domestic airports to international travel with flights from Suhar to Shiraz, Trabzon & Calicut. SalamAir boasts six international routes for the year, the latest being direct flights to Prague and Bangkok.

Additionally, SalamAir has expanded its fleet with six A320neo and four A321neo aircraft, which received international recognition as one of the youngest fleets in the world and Asia. SalamAir also introduced the A321neo Cargo Freighter this year, becoming the first airline in the country to introduce a freighter aircraft to its fleet.

Further focusing on its expansion plans, SalamAir had placed an order for six new Embraer E2 aircraft earlier in the year, which is said to serve domestic routes and regional destinations. SalamAir has been named Oman’s Most Trusted Brand for the second consecutive year. SalamAir has secured IATA’s Operational Safety Audit Registration, a sentiment to their commitment to Operation safety standards, processes, and procedures in line with the air travel industry's safety and regulatory structure.
