All 500 lucky customers will stand a chance to win free ticket vouchers, which they can avail of on their subsequent travel. Passengers seeking a chance to make it to the winning draw can book their tickets by visiting the website – SalamAir.com

Encapsulating the jubilant mood on the occasion of the 5th anniversary, Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, said: “January 30, 2022, marks a new chapter in the history of SalamAir, as we celebrate five years of glorious presence in the industry and drive our mission to uphold the spirit of Oman by delivering services that reflect the legendary hospitality of the country.”

Commending customers for their continuous support and endorsing the airline’s remarkable progress in the industry over the last five years, he added, “This occasion, we are keen to share our joy with our customers who have shouldered our ups and downs as loyal partners. We are confident that we can together bring to fruition the new normalcy that world leaders endorse. Our obligation, first and foremost, is to our customers, and our strategic growth during the last five years, with newer routes and enhanced services, is reflective of that objective.”

As the largest operator of internal/local destinations in the sultanate, SalamAir has calibrated its excellence in performance with newer services and facilities that have bolstered its mission to provide safe and reliable travel while leading the industry with innovative technology. It has scored high on international travel, touching over 48 airports in 35 countries; it has flown over 28936 flights, carrying over 5 million passengers in the last five years. It boasts a fleet of 7 aircraft – six A320neo and the newly added A321neo, which has received international recognition as one of the youngest fleets in the world and Asia. With the induction of the A321neo in September last year, SalamAir became the first airline in the country to introduce the aircraft to its fleet. Earlier last year, the airline also introduced Luban seating in the front row seats of its entire fleet to offer ultimate convenience for customers seeking a touch of indulgence in their travel.

On the expansion front, the airline has added two new destinations in Kyrgyzstan to its portfolio of routes. The Muscat-Bishkek and Muscat-Osh direct routes mark SalamAir’s first entry into Kyrgyzstan. Besides adding ease to its already established tenet of safe and reliable travel, it collaborated with Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC), last month, to make the ticket payment process easy for passengers by using their kiosks or mobile app.

SalamAir’s concerted efforts to establish and maintain its identity as a value-for-money airline have also seen it signing a contract with OXY and Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) to operate flights to airports in the oil concession areas Mukhazna, Fahud, Marmul, and Qarn Alam. Additionally, it entered a strategic tie-up with Tune Protect Commercial Brokerage LLC to offer travel protection benefits for its passengers. It is also important to note that SalamAir signed a codeshare agreement with Oman Air in March 2020, allowing it to sell its flight tickets to select destinations.

SalamAir’s five-year journey is a story of structured growth that saw it widening its operational base while strengthening its root as a profitable low-cost airline. It has made rapid progress to enhance its reach across the region, meeting the travel requirements of different segments of the society with its suite of innovative travel options.
