SalamAir Appoints Mitravi Powered by Blueberry Group as General Sales Agent in Rwanda to Strengthen Market Presence and Connectivity
SalamAir, Oman’s Low-Cost carrier, has appointed Mitravi powered by Blueberry Group as its official General Sales Agent (GSA) in Rwanda, an important milestone in the airline’s continued expansion across Africa and supporting the launch of its new direct service between Muscat and Kigali, scheduled to commence on 21 July 2026.
Under the agreement, Mitravi powered by Blueberry Group will lead SalamAir’s sales, marketing, trade engagement, and customer support activities in Rwanda, helping to build awareness of the airline’s services and strengthen its presence within the market. The agreement was signed by Waheed Al Balushi, International Regional Sales Manager of SalamAir, and Jitesh Sobhani, Regional General Sales Agent Manager of Mitravi powered by Blueberry Group, reflecting the commitment of both parties to expanding SalamAir’s presence in the Rwandan market.
The appointment comes ahead of SalamAir’s launch of twice-weekly flights between Muscat and Kigali, further expanding the airline’s growing international network and providing travelers with convenient and affordable access between Rwanda, Oman, and destinations across the GCC, the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and beyond.

The new Muscat–Kigali service is expected to support the growth of both inbound and outbound tourism, facilitate business travel, and enhance trade and cultural exchange between Rwanda and Oman. The route operating next month will also provide travelers in Rwanda with seamless access to SalamAir’s expanding network of destinations, while offering visitors from across the airline’s network the opportunity to experience Rwanda’s renowned tourism attractions and vibrant economy.
The partnership reflects SalamAir’s confidence in Rwanda as a strategically important market and supports the airline’s plans to expanding connectivity, stimulating tourism, and providing affordable travel options that support economic growth and regional integration.
SalamAir currently operates a fleet of 17 aircraft serving more than 40 destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. With its 18th aircraft expected to join the fleet in July, the airline continues to expand its network and connectivity. This growth supports SalamAir’s mission of providing affordable travel while contributing to tourism, trade, and the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
